Knee Pain
The most common causes of knee pain are injury and arthritis. Both causes can be treated with Wave Therapy. In the case of an injury, scar forms in the knee and the tissue cannot heal because without prolonged immobilization, you continue to use the joint. Arthritis is a progressive deterioration of the joint that results in pain and limited range of motion.
It is often difficult to participate in physical therapy due to pain. Also the knee pain causes you to change the way you walk which then results in back pain.
Wave therapy addresses these issues in two ways. First, the acoustic waves help gently break up the scar allowing the tissue to remodel in a way that lessens discomfort. Next, the treatments trigger the growth of new blood vessels (neovascularization). These new blood vessels bring more blood to the area carrying nutrients and oxygen to help the tissue heal more quickly and effectively. More white blood cells are brought into the area to chew up the damaged tissue and lay down new healthier tissue. Wave Therapy can help get you back to your normal routine more quickly.
Back Pain
Back pain is the single most common cause of musculoskeletal discomfort in adults. Back pain is experienced by 90% of adults at some point in their life. The initial treatment often includes pain medications and anti-inflammatory meds along with rest. The recovery time is often months and recurrence rates are very high.
Wave Therapy can help. As with other musculoskeletal disorders, Wave Therapy can help relax the muscle spasm and trigger the growth of new blood vessels (neovascularization).

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is a very common inflammatory condition that effects the thick band of connective tissue on the underside of the foot. It results from the repeated minor trauma of walking or running. Once the inflammation starts, it is very difficult to get it to subside. Continued walking prevents the tissue from healing. Common treatments include an uncomfortable boot which must be worn at all times or painful injections in the bottom of the foot.
Wave Therapy is increasingly used to treat plantar Fasciitis. The acoustic waves help the tissue to relax and trigger the growth of new blood vessels (neovascularization).
